There is nothing like a romantic summer evening under the stars,
swinging gently on a rustic, hand-crafted backyard swing with your
sweetheart.
Swings are framed with aspen logs, with seats and backs of pine or douglas fir. Swings are available in single and double seats, with or without the frame from which to hang the swing. Swings can also be hung from a porch beam or a strong limb on a tree.
As you can see swings can be made in a number of styles, with varying degrees of complexity. We can supply the chain with which to hang it. The aspen frames are often fantastically burled, though the burls are carefully placed so they don’t affect the comfort of the seat. The finish is intended for the outdoors and will only need to be redone every 5-6 years.
These seats are intended to last several lifetimes and so they use fastening techniques including fitting, gluing and lag bolting.
