Cedar-lined boxes are custom built to your size and material specifications - from a "memory box" the size of a tissue box up to a cedar chest (about 2 feet x 4 feet x 2.5 feet). Cedar chests and boxes can be made with as much or as little metal hardware as you want - like latches, lid handles, corner protectors, lifting handles. The outside of the cedar-lined box can be made of pine, oak, walnut, or birch, and is fully finished. The inside is lined with cedar and is unfinished in order to allow the cedar to breathe and protect the contents.
Cedar has long been known to discourage moths and other insects and is a natural, effective alternative to toxic mothballs in protecting fine woolens.
Cedar chests are a thoughtful and practical gift for weddings, anniversaries,birthdays and graduations.
